We love taking care of kiddos! We strive to be the top pediatric chiropractor in Centennial and the entire Denver Area!

Our approach to kids’ care is no different than how we treat adults, but we use much gentler techniques. Some people don’t understand how chiropractic care is so effective for kids, but the truth is people don’t know what they don’t know! At one point in time car seats were optional too! Thankfully the science has caught up with the times, proving Pediatric Chiropractic to be safe, effective, and necessary.

As a parent, it’s natural to question everything when it comes to your kids. As parents ourselves, we do it too. To help ease some of that parental anxiety and answer any questions you may have, we’ve listed some of the most common questions we get around our office. Check them out!

Is chiropractic care safe for my kid?

Absolutely it is! We use gentle, light force adjustments for kids every time they come in to see us.

Do you use the same adjustments on kids as you do adults?

NO! Our techniques are different and we would never allow the same amount of force to be used on a child that is used on an adult.

Why does a newborn need to be adjusted?

Great question! A 1992 study proved the birth process to be one of the most physically traumatic events a person will encounter in their lifetime. Evidence from the study revealed that the majority of newborns suffer micro-trauma to brain stem tissues. The researchers noted that harmful physical trauma during the birth process causes misalignments or subluxations in the upper neck areaThe subtle misalignment creates a disturbance to normal nervous system function.

The authors studied six hundred children under the age of two years old and found some form of asymmetry of posture, alignment, and/or movement in every infant assessed. Our job is to help get them started on the right track, sometimes even the same day as their birth.

How young can a child get adjusted?

As stated above, the earliest a child can be adjusted is even just a few minutes old. Adjustments for a newborn baby can really make a huge difference in their nervous and immune system right off the bat.
